Trades

Plumbers, electricians and builders: the work is on site, and the paperwork waits for the evening.

PAINS

Usual headaches

The things we hear most.

Quoting takes too long

In a hipages survey, 77% of tradies said quoting is one of their most time-consuming admin jobs. A quote that goes out sooner is more likely to be won.

Source: hipages research, reported by Small Business Connections in “Could Australia’s ‘tradie shortage’ be caused admin overload?” (4 April 2024), checked October 2026.

Missed calls while you're on the tools

You can't answer when you're under a sink. A missed call that gets a quick text back, asking for the address and the problem, often becomes a job instead of a lost one.

Chasing payment

Invoices go out late and are paid late. Sending the invoice when the job is done, with automatic polite reminders, keeps cash flowing without awkward phone calls.

Compliance paperwork

In Victoria, plumbers must give a customer a compliance certificate within 5 days of finishing certain work. We can prefill the details and remind you, but we never sign or lodge anything for you.

EXAMPLE

A scenario

An illustration with stated assumptions, not a real client.

Example

A small electrical business speeds up quotes and payment chasing

Assumptions: We assume 5 quotes a week at about 30 minutes each, falling to about 10 minutes when a voice note and a price list become a draft the owner checks. We also assume about 2 hours a week chasing unpaid invoices, falling to about 30 minutes with automatic reminders.
